Review of Orrington, Maine

can get a bit cold
Star Rating - 1/31/2009
Orrington is a quaint little town. It's not far from the city of Bangor where most professionals are employed. The summers are to die for and the falls are absolutely beautiful. Spring is cold, windy, and rainy. Winter is around 7 months long. In the dead of winter, you have about 5 hours of daylight. If you like outdoor activities like snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and skiing then winter in Maine is for you. A major part of your household budget will go toward heating your home. I have lived in Maine my whole life and it's all I know. When I vacation in Florida, I thaw out and get the itchy feeling of changing my address. Does anyone have any advice? Do you think I would really hate living in Florida all year long? I am a medical professional, so I could live just about anywhere and get a job. Thanks.
