If all you want is a cheap place to exist, Pahrump might be worth considering. But be warned. Its 60% decrepit trailers ("mobile homes ") and most occupants don't have any motivation to even make them look decent. Realtor tours WON'T show you all the ghetto areas. Shopping? Walmart is the only game in town. They've been promising a movie theater for years, and the latest cancel just happened last month. Bottom line is.....this place is bottom of the barrel
