We live in a "quiet" suburb of Orange County California (south of Los Angeles). Pros: shopping, freeway access, airport availability, mountains, beaches. Cons: traffic, housing costs, population density. As retirees, we can travel outside of rush hours, but the window gets smaller all the time.
