Great place all around!

I love Port Hueneme for its small town feel and access to Channel Islands Harbor; where you can kayak, whale watch, get great food, fish, surf, and boat all year long. We're close to L.A. but world's apart. No traffic, pollution, and craziness - just a great little town and farmland nearby. Never gets hot or cold - always about 70 degrees with a nice ocean breeze in the afternoon. Housing here is way more affordable than any other beach community in California - it's the best kept secret, but probably not for long.
Negatives are actually pretty few - I'm trying to think of some as I write this and nothing's coming to mind. When I come up with something, I'll write more.
