With the area in Wake County growing so fast, the schools are very overcrowded and re-assignments are often. The school boards are constantly trying to adjust the demographics so that all schools end up being average and socioeconomically "diverse".

Agreed. This is a MAJOR issue for the Carolinas. The schools cannot keep pace with population growth. We know people who have middle school aged kids who have been in over 4 different schools already.
