Rochester, often called Rottenchester or RocKchester for very good reasons. This place is for people with money...and, well, that's about it. If you want a GREAT college town, head 60 miles west and go to Buffalo, NY, where there are actually places to eat after 11 at night. I've lived here for 12 years and have been violently attacked five times in white neighborhoods. It has the highest crime rate in NYS, an unprecedented number of affluent people who cannot afford one extra nice friend in their lot (God forbid they should have one extra friend.) No one holds a door for you if you're a woman. The justice system lets every criminal go... maybe they don't have enough jail space here. Who knows. I've lived all over the world and this place SUCKS. Leaving soon and can't wait. Good people beware: Rochester is no place for good, honest, loving people. Move on to Buffalo (The City of Good Neighbors)...Rochester is just a city of neighbors. They don't even shovel their own snow. If their sidewalks aren't cleared by a snow machine, they're not going to get off their butts to do it. Oh, my. Its best attribute: great movie houses. Just run like hell in any direction. Anywhere but here.
