Great place for music--loads of free or almost free concerts at Eastman School of Music & other colleges/universities & other venues. Lots of amateur opportunities, too--choirs, orchestras, etc. I'm not into the jazz scene but friends say it is pretty great. Gap Mangione (Chuck's brother) lives & plays here.

Weather could be better, but lots of recreational stuff--boating, hiking, etc.
