Rolla is somewhat dominated by missouri S&T (Missouri University of Science &Technology) formerly known as UMR. The student population is huge. This year alone there are over 1400 freshmen. Many are from foreign countries such as India, Sudan, Kuwait, Japan, China, etc. this creates a rich multi cultural experience.
