A new neighbor in Ruffin

I moved to Ruffin, NC in October 2007. Very few people I spoke to then or since even knows where Ruffin, NC is. It's beautiful country with wonderfully hospitable and friendly folks. I love it out here. I just wanted a quiet place with no fast food resturants, no traffic, no shopping malls and I found it here. Ruffin is not for everyone. It isn't too convenient when it comes to shopping and there is only one gas station, here, and a few other samll businesses. However, I don't miss the traffic and noise and I've grown used to the fact that I can't just "run around the corner" to a Walgreens or Target or Walmart or any fast food place. It's a different way of life out here and I love it.
