When people say they are "progressive" it is code for unhappy, narcissistic freaks. Stay away from Salem.

Socially Progressive...(ie; close to Obama...next step ...Communism... Please stay away from us, go your own way or realize where it is that you live and embrace it, will you? We like our country. We are not ashamed of it at all! We like the way it is (or was) (for better of for worse) and we will fight to see to it that our way stays as the "normal" way that we grew up and want to pass on to our children! Please take your Liberal Progressive viewpoint and try and pass it on to the Chinese that pass on to us their crap products and dirty dollars. We are not willing participants! We want our country BACK! Thank You! The Original Founders of the Constitution are all that seperate us from Tyranny; yet their words and the documents they sign allow you to voice your opinion freely; but not at the expense of all the rest of us.

If you are socially progressive, don't move to Salem. I am a very liberal minded person, and there are a few of us here, but the majority of the people are not. I don't know what your financial situation is, but if you're set on moving to Oregon, I would recommend Portland. Good luck to you!
