Hello,
Buying homes here is really outrageous - "starters" are $750k and most need a lot of extra work. These are serious improvements, such as termite damage, roofs, kitchen, windows etc. There are some homes that are being torn down they are so bad, but people still buying.
I would say buck the stigma and rent. Put extra money towards retirement accounts until prices come down.
