Yes, the beaches are wonderful - if you can find a public beach. They are increasingly being privatized. Also good luck finding a place to park. Cost of living is 46% higher than the national average. Education is significantly below national standards. Jobs tend to be menial / blue collar. The people enjoying living in SRB have made their fortunes elsewhere and retired to the beach. The average person is in for a rough ride.
