I've lived here too long! Have stayed because of mother and relatives. But let me get to the point. If you want a job here in Seattle you had better be ready to compete for that retail clerk job with a hundred others that have a BA in something or another. There are more people with BA's here than anywhere else except San Francisco. You know what S.F. like? It's Seattle in 5 years. Great if your a yuppie and make 70K a year. Listen I know what I'm saying. I lived here on and off for 30 years. This place has gotten way too expensive ratio of wages to cost of living. Don't believe me check it out! Also the thing they say about people here and their friendliness its oh so true! I'll be freindly but I really don't want to be your freind. Its also true about diversity. It's here. But than again it's the norm not the exception. A lot of smugness. One more thing. When you move here from a semi sunny enviroment remember that around December to April you better hide those razor blades.
