Review of Seattle, Washington

Don't Move Here If...

you expect a fast pace of life....the pace here is slower than rest of the country. I've seen transplants move here and complain that WA drivers are too slow or that Seattleites are reserved. Our roots come from Nordic countries, therefore, we can be reserved but friendly. I can easily pick out a transplant driver on the roads...they are usually impatient and aggressive, cutting in and out of traffic and not using their turn signal. If you can NOT adapt to slower pace here then don't bother moving here. Cops love to catch transplant drivers. I've seen Seattle change for the worse because of some drivers refusing to accept that it is slower here. Also, I know many people who moved here and were unhappy because they couldn't make enough friends so they left. It takes a few years to develop solid friendship here.
