My wife needs a milder climate due to a medical condition. After having researched Portland well, I am looking at Seattle also! By the demographics, these seem to be our placees to consider. I was looking at Vermont originally. We don't want all the third world around us. Don't these people know they offend us when they dress in that attire. I don't wear swastikas, or dress like the Blues Bros. with a beard. The women can lighten up a bit and dress like the Indian women, not like for death in the desert.(black) Most of the men look like Hamas, not all. We want a better world for our daughter, with outdoors and the city ammenities. Chicago does not have desireable recreation!Too many cars and people! One has to drive so far. My wife is educ.from Moscow Univ.. It is too much to contemplate a move there. We would like to be around the Russian area. I understand Seattle and Portland have Russian! We watch figure skating, not world wrestling, or Howard Stern. Any advise on pros and cons? I've seen Sperling's Best Places. Thanks
