Cost of living

Seattle is an okay place to relocate if you are from another state/city with a high cost of living. People from NYC and California usually acclimate very well to Seattle. The cost of living here is slightly below that of NYC and Cali.
Be cautioned if you're from somewhere with a modest cost of living. You will be in shock as I have been since I lived in the mid-west for more than 30 years. I cannot get used to the price of everything here. It is twice as much as I'm used to.
I am in search of somewhere else. A place with low crime, cost of living, unemployment, etc. I will most likely be going back to the mid-west or the south.
