The decline and fall of seattle

I was fortunate to have been raised in West Seattle on Alki beach. What a wonderful place in the 1940's, 50's, and early 60's. I now reside over on the Kitsap Pennisula far from the high prices, snarled traffic, condominiums, and declining quality of the school systems. The arts and entertainment in Seattle are still worth the trip, but I, as a born and bred Seattle native cannot beleive what has happened to a once Emerald city.
