Quality of life continues to decline

I have to agree with those commenting on the sorry state of life in Seattle and Puget Sound. I've lived here since 1978 and have seen Seattle slowly go downhill from a clean, uncrowded, upbeat and friendly town to a dirty, sprawling megalopolis of self-absorbed rich thirty-somethings who think they own the world. Unfortunately, in Seattle they do. So, if you drive a Lexus SUV with an empty Thule roof-rocket, drink ten dollar lattes, think nothing about ten and fifteen mile long traffic backups (why care? you can yammer away on your bluetooth and watch a DVD!), and feel you're exempted from the "little-people" laws like stopping for red lights, then Seattle is just the place for you. I used to have a license plate holder that read "Welcome to Washington - Now go home." Now that I'm finally getting out of here it reads "Welcome to Washington - You can #!@*$% have it!"
