Gotta have a high income

I relocated here from the Detroit area seven months ago. To be honest, I am already looking at other places to move to. Unless you have a lot of money, this is not a good place to live. Don't get me wrong, the city is beautiful and I am most impressed at the intercity parks. There is also a lot of culture here and nightlife. But you gotta have wads of cash or forget it. I relocated my business here thinking that it would thrive and be more affordable. There is no state income tax but everything costs so much more. People do not seem to want to pay much for consulting, computer training, and tax preparation. Not anymore than Michiganians would pay, but the costs are sky high. I am paying $425 per month for a 12X12 room in shared housing. I have to share a kitchen, and bathroom with many other people. Seattle is not worth this type of compromise. I look forward to leaving within the next year.
