Salt Lake is pretty friendly with the exception of the driving. People are more than happy to cut you off and other nasty driving habits. The Mormon Culture used to be a big problem for non-Mormons in SLC, but it has become a lot more diverse. The thing about SLC, is that a lot of people like to stay close to their families in Utah, so they're willing to pay more for housing and get paid less at their jobs. Hope this helps.
