No Place is Perfect....

"No place is perfect" is probably the best assessment for ANY cities anywhere in the world. Weather, cost of living, crime ,etc are just some of the variables to take into account. Additionally, everyone is looking for something different depending on their age, marital status, occupation, etc. I am here in the US for 26 years and had the opportunity to live in NYC, Atlanta and Seattle for the last 9 years and learned to appreciate Seattle's mild weather (no snow, no extreme heat or cold, mild rain) and the fact that my work place is a 10 minute walk from my residence. The more challenging side for me, is 1) the "inflatted" real estate market which is unreasonably high for living quarter that are the size of jewel box. The average Belltown condo price(one bedroom)is around $380 K for a 600 square feet 2)the lack of civility (often played down by saying that the locals are reserved and from Nordic descent...3) the lack of true cafe where people talked and engaged versus typing their life away on their laptop. That said, at the end of the day only you can decide if Seattle is or not for you.
