Beautiful summers, rainy/drizzly/depressing winter

I lived in Seattle after college and loved the beautiful scenery...when you can see it through the clouds and rain. It's a great area to live for outdoor recreation. But the traffic is horrendous. And if you like sunshine, forget it. The gloomy, grey, drizzly fall, winter, and spring seems like an eternity! Bottom line...beautiful place to live in the summer, depressing and dreary the other 9 months.
