Shingle Springs is a wonderful rural area to live. However, the immediate area is booming and threatening space and a rural life style. The winters are mild and great. The summers are long, dry, and very hot. The cost of living is high with most homes (ranchetts) running from $850,000 to $1.4 million. The schools are great.
