Review of St. Louis, Missouri

Mild temperatures
Star Rating - 4/26/2006
Generally speaking, St. Louis experiences mild temperatures year round. But as they say, if you don't like the weather . . . wait a few minutes; it's bound to change.

Mild temps? Are you kidding? In the 10s in the summers, wind chills get below zero in the winters. Ice storms, tornados, brown outs due to heat. Look at St. L's climate compared to most regions and you will find we are nowhere near mild. Statistically speaking, our winters are generally colder than CO and warmer than CA.

Funny: Everywhere I've lived, I have heard the same saying. It is certainly true that as a result of being far from any mountain range, STL is wide open to the clashing effects of the tropical systems from the Gulf and the Arctic systems from N Canada. And although it's not KS, tornadoes occur @ an above average rate.
