Review of Sterling Heights, Michigan

Fast-paced suburban rat-race
Star Rating - 6/15/2006
For those who like unfriendly people, rampant road rage and high unemployment, then the metro area north of Detroit is for you. The price of housing is well above average as well.
The worst part about living in this area is the lack of jobs. Unemployment is over 8% (the national average is 5%) so finding a job that pays a decent wage is nearly impossible. And don't try to look for a job in the summer. With the onslaught of students looking for temporary work while out of school, job hunting becomes a gas-wasting, time-consuming futile effort with very little prospect for those who don't still live with their parents.
