I lived in Miami the other 6 years of my life when I was like 2yrs to 8yrs old.
Tampa has its good and bad areas. The super rich areas are like Waterchase, Avala, private land owners, citrus park area, some of new tampa. Really bad areas are anywhere by the projects. Like Robles Park, College Hill, Fletcher and 15th, then everywhere else is pretty much medium. There are alot of strip clubs, which personally I think is a good thing. Theres also alot of Drug dealers and Addicts. There is not as many Gangs as their used to be in the 90's, but from what other people tell me from other states say it is high still. Theres alot of crazy/bad drivers here. Everything is pretty much run by republicans. There is not alot of good activities for people age 18-30. We have Ybor City and Channelside but that gets pretty old quick. Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are fun for a while. The beaches and fishing and Golf is good also. Clearwater beach is probuly my Favorite or Sand Key.
Minimum wage is I think 6.15 an hour, and the amount the jobs pay here is not enough to live for a single person on their own. Health and House insurance is very hard to get, esp. House insurance because we are always getting hit by hurricanes (Florida) Most of all the jobs here are Retail, Customer Service, Tele-Sales (Both of those getting takeing by people in India) , Food service, and Sales.
Not many computer / tech field jobs, which is what I am schooled for. I would personally like to move somewhere else out of this state since Ive lived here my whole life.
I've vacationed in D.C, Baltimore, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, and Richmond, and from going to all those places atleast for 1 week and living in Tampa my whole life, I would rate living in Tampa a 6.5 out of 10
