living in tampa

I've been in Tampa nearly 23 years,it's an okay place,but with the rising cost of living,which is not only here,times have gotten really hard.Not a good place to raise children,crime rate is high.Not a good place for retirees either,cost of living is too high.In the process of looking for a quite countrylike setting,with a low crime rate and friendly people,to seetle down with me and my family.
