I strongly disagree with you. I am currently living in SoCal especially in San Diego and soon I will be moving to Tampa. California is every expensive compared to Tampa. I am not sure in which context you meant to compare. One of the things that makes Tampa affordable than SoCal is house market. The average home price in Socal is $800,000 for a 3 bed rooms single family house whereas you can find that one in Tampa for less than $300,000. This house market in Tampa makes even easy for someone who works for a minimum wage to purchase a house compared to California where you have to make six figures in order to be approved for a mortgage. Tampa is my permanent home.

california and tampa do not have the same cost of living - no way cali is much hire
