People: nice, friendly, diverse, overall great. Jobs: large job market but the wage rate is low in this area due to lack of skill, poor education, and the types of jobs(fast food, general labor, low skill, ect). Education: literacy rate is very low here, and the public school system like everywhere is poor, the higher education system is just as bad according to many students I've talk to U of F is the best school. Housing: You're going to pay high rent regardless if you live in the best areas(New Tampa, Carrolwood, ect.) or the less than average areas (Temple Terrace, Palm river, some parts of Brandon)and if you looking to buy a house florida in general is having housing pains due to the cost of insurance (decreasing soon), property taxes and the cost of housing alone is lack luster. Traffic can be horrible depending on the time of day you travel, however learning your way around the city is easy, poor transportation system also. Nightlife is great, plenty of bars, clubs, parties etc. I really enjoy the nice weather all yr round. FL is nice overall but overrated it's a great place to visit or take a nice vacation and depending on your lifestyle it could be a nice place to live for a short time but for me, I am a quality person and Tampa doesnt have the qualities that are important to me. However, it is not at all the worst place to live!
