To Anyone reading the other Post's on this site, PLEASE disregard them.
I moved to Tampa about 4 years ago, and ive loved every moment of it.
The Culture, the Sports, the Night life, I love it all.
I dont know what idiot said Tampa is full of rednecks, that ridiculous, I work in Channelside one of the ways we KNOW somone is NOT from Tampa, is if they are country and have an accent. The Core city of Tampa is a Liberal city, Very diverse, and very open minded.
Tampa has as good a night life as any city, while Most cities have 1 entertainment district, Tampa has 4, Ybor, Channelside, Hyde park/ SOHO, and the International Plaza, as well as bars and clubs scattered in various other parts of the city.
Despite being one of the most dangerous cities threw the 90's and early 2000's the crime rate has dropped dramatically since 2003.
Public transportation, has been a joke for quite a while,... but they are making changes and things are getting better, some buses now run uptill 1 a.m. and start running again around 4:30 am.
Downtown is in the process of being redeveloped, High rises are being built everytime you blink your eye, and they are all residential buildings, Even donald trump has got in on the action and is building "Trump tower Tampa".
Tampa has great Publications of all Types, such as "Creative loafing", "Orange magazine", "Tampa Bay Times" among other's inclunding "La Gaceta" the Nations ONLY trilingual Newspaper (spanish, Italian, english), 88.5 wmnf is a phenomenal community radio station, and tampa is known across the country for having one of the best Public access t.v. stations.
The weather is great here, its december as i am typing this,... and it was 80 degrees today, Palm tree's, beaches, and honestly Tampa has some of the most beautifal females ive ever seen, of all backgrounds,.. and i have been to alot of cities.
I forgot to add, theres somthing to do on any given night in Tampa, concerts, comdedians, sports... since tampa is a Major city we get all the major tours..
and just to let it be known this is not a rant of some old man who retired and moved to Tampa from canada, im 24 years old and just getting my life started.
come to Tampa and make your own judgment, dont let a few people upset at the world dictate your opinion.
