I AM moving to Tampa within a few months and coming from the northeast trust me, Tampa is not bad. 1)Jobs- you have plenty- the economy across the nation is moving toward service. 2)Property- It may be high to rent or pay a mortgage but at least you have an opportunity to live in great neighborhoods and the value of the home is steady increasing instead on decreasing to the point your dream home is worth less than a ford focus. My advise is to pick your battles and research it a little better because leaving a state in which last year (2006) 300,000 other people have moved from Tampa can not be that BAD. I already have job offers from Tampa. I KNOW I will be fine.
