first i will say, for a young single person or young minded person , you may become BORED with this city. if you are coming from a big city, be prepared to see the city as almost looking like a ghostown downtown and many other parts. a lot of the downtown and inner city is run down. of course if you go out farther north you'll see nicer areas. have been here a little over a month so havent gotten the full perspective. if it matters to you the public transit is not very well developed at all. many buses stop running at 7pm. if you think this is anything like miami, they are nothing a like. they are both in south florida , that's it. tampa is more like louisville, ky. than miami. this has a "country" type feel to it. the city seems slow and almost asleep. a lot seniors seem to be here as well. the city itself seems old. tough crime in inner city.
