Okay, first off.. Read a lot and it's scary but then I realize where I'm coming from. Los Angeles, CA. Where a runned down house from 1950 is selling for 525k to 650k. Where renting a one bedroom is about $1000 a month and traffic is about 1hr or more for every 20 miles you go. Simply put, making a combined income of $80-90k a year can't buy a decent house. So, I'm from Florida.. Merritt Island to be more exact and decided I have to get out of here. Since there is no real job market near my old home town, I'm headed to the Tampa-Orlando area in November. I have never been to Tampa and would like to know the best zip codes/areas to look for an apartment. By looking at some of the ratings, places like Temple Terrace aren't bad. I need to know if this is true and if there are other areas that have decent to low crime.
