Life in The Woodlands
Star Rating - 8/12/2008
The Woodlands is a community that truly has everything. It is like living in a resort...you can live, work and play all in one place.

People in The Woodlands are ill informed and tend to live in isolation with a high degree of naivete. For example the crime rate has sky rocketed and individuals like Nelda Bruce Blair President of the city council says the crime rate is nothing. Well....the crime rate has tripled since 2006 amd the violent crime rate has doubled since 2006 according to FBI statistics. The Woodlands Mall is particularly unsafe as many assaualts and violent crimes take place in the parking lot. Most recent, last week, a woman was shot by an individual who tried to steal her car. The police are ineffective. There have been more bank robberies, home invasions, drug deal violence per 100,000 population than comparable towns. Chase bank on The Woodlands Parkway has been robbed four times in 2009. The police spend more time drinking coffee and eating doughnuts. I recently seen a policewoman that weighed at least 280 pound, 5'8" trying to get out of her police vehicle and employed by the police force. Most of the officers are severly out of shape. On the gun range I have noticed they ar completely incompetent. One asked me about the action on his pistol..can you believe. Four lane hgihways are being built everywhere and teh Developers have taken over the community. bad planning ahs led to icnreased crime and pollution. The four lane highway next to Sally ide Elementary school is a travesty. It is 50 feet from the school of 5-9 year old chldren and has resulted in incrased pollution exposure to the 100,000 cars that fly by everyday and to child sex abusers who have tried to steal a couple of kids. Do not be deceived by the extremely poor and incompetent, greedy leaders we have in the town council, policeforce, and county commissioners. They have taken a beautiful community establihed in the 1970s and succeeded in destroying it through poor planning and greed.
