Florida to Texas

We're not moving to The Woodlands, Texas out of disatisfaction but out of great anticipation for a quality of life that, otherwise, we'd have to wait five or more years for. We built three homes in two years at the height of the building boom in the fastest growing county (for over a year)in the nation. But visiting family in The Woodlands several times over the past three years made us gradually aware of the advantages of living in an especially well planned community that is not just a dream, but a reality. Whereas now we enjoy a greater cultural blend of people--not to mention beautiful beaches in Florida's Flagler County--The Woodlands offers a population of diverse ages, a greater variety of things to see and do: high quality shopping and dining out of the heat, an escape from touristy disruptions, and big city access by car on excellent highways or by Houston's low-cost Metro. The biggest surprise was the comparative low cost of the top quality home we bought near things we like to do and see--physical exercise, concerts, city art museums, golf, and to satisfy our urge to travel, having a major airline hub to fly in and out of. Wonderful! Here we come!
