The Woodlands is distinct as a place to live and should not be considered in the same vein as Houston. Great access, relatively lower cost of housing and soon to be excellent amenities (already "very good"). The Woodlands Waterway and Town Center will rival the nicer new downtown areas that I have seen. The Woodlands also has great golf, recreation, health services (a little short on doctors), shopping and quality services.
