Litchfield County is a pleasant area to live with rolling hills in the foothills of the Berkshire mountains, yet only a 90 min drive to NYC. Population is diverse depending on the area. Torrington is a mix of low/moderate income & education levels in a small city feel, the suburb areas are mid/high income & education levels combined as a mix of manufacturing workers and professionals.
