I live in Tulsa for 6 years. The advatanges are the extremely cheap cost of living. If you have a good job you live pretty good. The other advantage, and those that live can tell you is that it is one of the easiest places to get around since the streets are in numerical & alphabetical order. There is no place you can't get to. It is a city that has 1/2 of the inhabitants trying to grow but that is hindered by the other 1/2 trying to keep it small. Disadvantages are the ignorant people trying to keep it small, and the extreme lack of things to do on the weekend if you don't want to bar-hop. This place sucks if you are like me, a retired barfly, that once to do something fun at nights. There is nothing to do but go out to eat, catch a movie, or blow money at the casinos. I will say that you have to go look for crime it rarely finds you. The only crime that has happened to me was someone stoled cinder blocks out of the back of my truck.... big deal. I grew up in downtonw Dallas, this place is 20x safer than there.
