After three weeks of renting here I'm ready to leave.
My landlord has yet to put a house number in the building, which means I get no postal service, no one can find the place including the cable company or the garbage company. I've been told that this is a violation of Homeland Security, but no official authority has done a thing about it. So as my garbage piles up, I pay for a broadband connection while getting dial up speeds and am unable to contact the cable company on any of three 800 numbers they have given me because of their crappy phone system. I have had more cable trouble in one week here than one year in my last location.
In short, this town sucks. Stay away from Lake of the Ozarks, it is a first class tourist trap, an overpriced dump run by cheap Missouri hicks.
