Thinking about Relocating

My husband and I live in Houston, TX. I have finally convinced him to consider relocating. Some places we are thinking about are Virginia Beach, Hampton, and Chesapeake. A couple of other places include Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina. We are looking for a city with 4 seasons, beautiful scenery, friendly people, and a nice place to raise our future children. My husband is in education and I have a sales job that will transfer; therefore, employment is not an issue. I need some honest thoughts about the places I've mentioned above. Coming from a big city, I do understand big city issues. i.e. crime, traffic congestion, poverty, and horrible schools in certain areas. Your thoughts and advice are both greatly appreciated. Thank you!
