Great Small Town - Don't listen to the luddites

I'm not sure what "zip zam" is doing wrong, but the Walsenburg I visit
for weeks (or months) every year is nothing like that person
describes.
People are decent and nice. The Safeway is small, but has very good
selection - not bad produce or meat either. The hardware store is fine
- but full of men who have work to do, so some may seem a bit gruff if
your messing around. And as for food, here's what I can think of off
the top of my head: Fast food - A&W, Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Carl's
Jr, and Subway; there is also Georges, Huerfano Cafe, Rosa's Cantina,
and several others I can't recall the name of. These all have good
food. Corrine's has perfectly decent Mexican food. But I will agree
about the iron horse - skip it.
Overall, Walsenburg is a nice small town with surprising amenities
(they have a waterpark!) and PLENTY of good places to eat.
