Family- and Community-Oriented

Western ave has gone down over the years but the surrounding communities remain family and community oriented.
Homes are well-maintained and a greater percentage of the children are completing a college education. There is however a strong need for more recreational facilities that were eliminated in previous decades.
Much is needed to clean up Western ave and restore business and commercial presence. However again the sense of community remains strong and it is becoming more widely recognized that it is NOT "the hood" it IS "our community ".
