Review of Highlands, North Carolina

Used to be a nice town
Star Rating - 9/6/2021
This used to be a quaint, quiet, sweet little town, but it has ballooned into a rich man's Mecca. Fist of all, it's a tiny town... so parking is at a premium and it gets VERY crowded on weekends and holidays. The townspeople are nice and try to maintain a decent relationship with the rich, demanding and entitled visitors, but that can be difficult at times. I used to work for a small inn in town, but had to quit. I could not deal with the rude and often entitled Atlantans and Floridians who think they are the only person on Earth. It got old fast. So if you don't want a bunch of Vineyard Vines wearing jerks screaming at you for not moving fast enough, avoid this town like the plague.
