Review of Eagan, Minnesota

Eagan and Quality of Life
Star Rating - 12/9/2007
Eagan is a great place to raise kids. There are plenty of parks, activities, and above all is safe. Housing tends to be somewhere in the 75th percentile for pricing in the Twin Cities, which is leaving me to look at places like Coon Rapids and Blaine for our young family's first home. Eagan is in a fantastic location. Mpls and St. Paul can be reached in 15-20 mins when not during rush hours. If you are a shopper, you have access to 4 or 5 Kohl's, 3 Walmarts, 3 or 4 Targets, etc. all within a 10-minute drive. Let's not forget about the Mall of America, which after a while becomes merely the place where you take your relatives when they fly in from out of state. I would also consider Apple Valley, Lakeville, Wayzata, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Plymouth, or possibly Maple Grove. All of which tend to be a bit spendier. Apple Valley and Maple Grove, less so. The hospital in Burnsville has been excellent in my opinion for the two times I have been there.
