Review of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Top 5 worst cities
Star Rating - 5/16/2019
First of all i have lived here for 45 years. It was really good until the last 15 years. We have 6 months of winter now, no spring and when Summer comes around it's sticky and hot. The crime rate has tripled and has the most dangerous zip code in America 53206. They made a movie about this. If you like cold weather, bars, and bowling your ok here. The economy has stalled in last 15 years and Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha has suffered from low wages and crime because of it. Milwaukee is also very segregated where the black and hispanic outnumber the whites. Don't believe me check the 2019 stats. The pros are none

There are three pros - great restaurants of every every kind of cuisine, housing can be found relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of the country, and there are great music and ethnic festivals at the lakefront during the summer. Outside of that...not much else. People are relatively unfriendly because they get married early and hang around with the same people they've known since high school.

I agree. I've been in Milwaukee for nearly 36 yrs. and just about had it. Segregation, lack of opportunity to grow and the same people doing the same thing... Time to move on. Don't get me wrong, I love it, I just don't care for where is going towards... And yes, before anyone says it, I am moving on.

A change of mind and reconditioning needs to take place.

Sounds a lot like Roanoke, Virginia.

The largest problem in the city, is that the largest demographic in the city typically has more of its children drop out of public school than graduate from it. Look it up, it is one of Milwaukee's many shameful legacies.
