Morehead State University is the regional cultural anchor in Eastern KY. In addition to MSU, the KY Folk Art Center, Cave Run Lake, and the site of many regional bluegrass music festivals makes Morehead an excellent place to visit and study the cultural and artistic history of the region. THe Daniel Boone National forest provides many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, and biking.
