Augusta is a wonderful place to live. To be honest, people who have negative things to say have NOT made the effort to explore all the beauty. We have a gorgeous lake and river for recreation; a thriving restaurant scene with some of the best chefs/local cuisine (and my job involves intensive travel, and I feel pretty confident after spending significant time in EVERY state!). We have a strong community of people passionate about making our city better. Is it perfect? No. Does it still need some development? Absolutely. But there are people working DAILY to build a strong community, restore our historic downtown, and create relationship. I'm proud to live in a city where citizens feel so strongly about making it better, and every year I see improvement and change!
