Great place for singles and families

I moved to the Raleigh area about 15 years ago from another part of NC. The area is great for both singles and families, many colleges in the area contribute to the variety of opportunities available to "have fun" as I did as a single. now that i am married with kids, I have a whole new world of possibilties to explore such as museums, parks, concerts etc. And generally the area is safe as well.
