With the high cost of fuel and increasing prices on medical, groceries, utilities and entertainment it makes sense to look west of Fort Worth and Weatherford, Texas to the small community of Mineral Wells.

Located in the scenic hills and mesas off Highways 281 and 180 you can find affordable homes, a short drive to local banks, businesses, shopping and dining. The Palo Pinto County Hospital is on the west side of town not far from any emergency; CareFlight is there for medical emergencies that require special care. Weatherford College has a campus here. A short drive will take you to nearby lakes for fishing and boating. There is a small rural country club with a golf course, Possum Kingdom Resort offers the celebrated Cliff's golf course just 23 miles away; Sugar Tree on the Brazos River is not far from Mineral Wells as well as Canyon West ( both located in Parker County). In less than an hour you can drive to Fort Worth for more entertainment, healthcare, shopping, and easily reach DFW International airport in and hour and half. Many residents of Mineral Wells work or have worked as far away as Dallas, Grand Prairie, Bedford, and Fort Worth. The drive is easy both morning and evening. This charming rural community has panoramic vistas from every road, beautiful older homes and acreage at affordable prices. Stunning and inspiring sunrises greet you in the mornings, and the setting sun provides a colorful display of vibrant hues against the big Texas skyas the day ends. Stars shine brighter at night, you will see!

I have lived here for 11 years, and I worked in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie. I often beat my staff to work with no effort at all. My husband does freelance work at Lockheed Martin, he never misses a his scheduled call time.

Great churches, good neighbors and endless possibilities exist here. We need more people to come here with new ideas!
