Extreme gentrification in progress. Best place for white people who are retired, or professional families living on one income, or those in the wine industry. This is a town that is most interested in individuals who make the town look good. What many forget is that it is in the middle of nowhere, which is why you have the state prison, a defunct nuclear power plant that leaks radiation and the Umatilla chemical depot within a 75mile radius. Children do well K-5, but after that you are very limited.

Hi Zelda: Sounds like you had a bad experience living in Walla Walla. Regarding education, the WW Community College has won awards and is affordable. I've only been here 2 years and still weighing my options. Hope you landed somewhere lovely.
